A lot of people are attracted by their dream of being able to earn an income by working at home. Working out of home seems such a wonderfully relaxed way of doing things but it isn’t that simple. Many people who would like to venture into working from home opportunities are often lured by ‘make millions in a month’ due to their desire to make quick and easy make money taking surveys. Strangely, some of these do actually work, but rarely do they work well enough to justify the hype that usually surrounds them. Surveys and data entry are some of the common ones in this category. The very thought of completing a couple of surveys during the morning, then having a long lunch and completing a couple more later, and earning a few hundreds like this is a joke – data entry will not make you rich.

All of these different types of activities are basically not sustainable for anyone that is seeking out a way to earn some extra money from working at home on a dependable and regular basis. It’s certainly not the case that these are all scams, but scams do exist in this field, so be wary. Writing some articles for others is a very easy way that you can earn money even though you are going to have to possess some reasonable writing skills, and the more capable you are of delivering, the better off you are. In these cases, one will find a hard truth that one is writing for someone who in turn is selling off one’s efforts as their own. For this reason, unless you are really lucky, don’t expect to earn much; the average is about 5 dollars for a 500 word article and while you can get by on this if you work hard, you won’t get rich.

A progression on article writing is to write for yourself and sell them on and writing public label rights, or PLR, articles can be more lucrative in the long term. The basic idea is to write a batch of maybe ten articles on a certain theme and then sell them to a limited number of people at a reduced price. If you price it at for a batch of 10 then you can easily make 0 by selling it to 30 people, this way you are making per article rather than per article.

You can earn well working from home but you have to put in a lot of hard work to ensure a regular income. It probably won’t be easy at first, but after you have ironed out all the kinks and streamlined the process, it will become easier. When it gets to the point of getting a pool of writers who outsource for one, that will be the point of hitting the jackpot and real money can be earned.
